Your journey, much like you as an individual, is unique. Our sessions will reflect and embrace this uniqueness.
As a counsellor, I want to ensure that our time together is based on the principles of trust, empathy and collaboration. In our time together, my goal is to work with you to discover your goals for therapy and to work together to develop next steps for how we can reach these goals.
Prior to my work as a counsellor, I also worked with the public school board for over three years, as an educational assistant. This role ignited my passion for working with children and youth with intellectual and physical needs/disabilities.
I am also very passionate about women’s health and topics such as, fertility, pregnancy, post-partum, body autonomy, loss, as well as life transitions, such as motherhood and becoming a new parent.
Further, as an Indigenous woman, I find it really important to integrate a culturally-informed lens into my practice because it allows me to honour the values, traditions, and lived experiences of communities. By bringing cultural awareness and sensitivity into my work, I aim to create safer, more inclusive spaces where voices are respected and heard. This approach not only strengthens trust and connection, but also fosters more meaningful support.

I appreciate that each one of us comes from different backgrounds, experiences, and worldviews that contribute to who we are today. Counselling consists of a therapeutic process, where I will guide you through the challenges you are facing and help you explore new ways of thinking and being. I believe that everyone should have a safe, supportive, and non judgemental space to express their feelings and thoughts, where vulnerability is welcomed and encouraged.
As a South Asian woman, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic space and offer valuable insights into fostering cultural inclusivity. My lived experience and growing up in a multicultural society has given me a unique ability to see cultures from a different viewpoint; both the importance of values and beliefs that come from our cultures, whilst also recognizing the internal conflicts they can cause us as individuals.
I have ten years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist working with children, youth, and adults, with disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, OCD, and Down Syndrome, that has taught me the importance of consistent support, promoting positive behaviour, and enhancing communication skills.
I am also a Family Lawyer , which allows for a unique perspective on conflict resolution, emotional support, and stress management. My counselling background enhances my ability to listen actively, negotiate effectively, and provide clients with holistic support, whether they are facing a difficult situation or other life-altering matters.
